It s more than a job In this IT role you will manage develop and support the technology infrastructure that powers Kuehne Nagel s global systems and operations This contribution is vital to making both special and ordinary moments in the lives of people a reality In fact your work enables our teams to deliver fresh fruit time-sensitive healthcare products and much more to people all around the world Working in IT at Kuehne Nagel contributes to more than we imagine As a WMS IT Systems Engineer working with Solution Architects and functional teams you will ensure the smooth and efficient design and implementation of solutions that fulfil the needs of the customer Utilising your WMS knowledge and experience you contribute to solution delivery across the project lifecycle How you create impact Stay current with the latest functional and technical capabilities of the Blue Yonder BY application and the KN SwiftLOG platform including architecture configuration options APIs and customization features to identify software solutions that meet specific business needs Liaise with stakeholders to fully understand and clarify business and technical requirements Conduct detailed design activities and provide stakeholders with the necessary documentation to support go no-go decisions Identify the appropriate technical stack for proposed solutions seeking approval when non-standard approaches are considered Develop custom code to extend software functionality add new features or modify existing ones to meet business requirements Ensure all implemented components adhere to detailed design specifications and established coding standards Perform unit testing of developed components based on detailed designs acceptance criteria and test cases Validate successful deployment of implemented solutions before making them available to stakeholders Provide all mandatory documentation to support the implemented solution Ensure all deliverables comply with KN Quality Assurance processes and procedures Commit all source code to the appropriate repository in preparation for release packaging and deployment Use monitoring and profiling tools such as MOCA Console and Trace Analyzer to proactively detect isolate and resolve issues Conduct root cause analysis on testing defects and implement appropriate resolutions Apply a continuous improvement mindset to all activities actively seeking feedback from peers and stakeholders Identify opportunities to improve development processes and tooling to enhance efficiency and effectiveness Develop a solid understanding of integration methods with external systems such as WCS Warehouse Control Systems Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide regular updates on progress and issues Work independently or collaboratively within cross-functional teams to contribute to project success Collaborate with both functional and technical stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of project and operational issues Mentor junior team members providing guidance and support for their development What we would like you to bring Degree educated in a Computer Science or related field Domain knowledge in WMS solutions preferable Blue Yonder JDA WMS Discrete experience preferable Manhattan and other WMS considered Experience of BY technology stack -
