Company Overview Nikkiso Clean Energy Industrial Gases is a leading provider of cryogenic pumps heat exchangers process systems turboexpanders services and solutions for the liquefied natural gas LNG liquefied hydrogen LH2 and industrial gases industries Applications include fueling stations marine engines peak shaving power generation virtual pipelines carbon capture geothermal power and well stimulation We are a subsidiary of Nikkiso Company Ltd a leading industrial manufacturer headquartered in Tokyo Japan with 1 5 B USD in annual revenue 8000 employees worldwide and publicly traded on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Job Overview Summary Objective Reporting to the Sr Design Engineer Design Engineer is responsible for executing design and engineering work on-time related to engineering orders and new product developments Responsibilities Review order documents to generate job specific designs Prepare and review General Arrangement drawings Prepare Bills-of-Materials and release to manufacturing on time Prepare customer submittal engineering documents 3D component modelling and assembly in CAD tool SolidWorks Preparing unit package with piping tubing and instruments Preparing manufacturing drawings with dimensions and GD T Work and co-ordinate with global engineering center to support with design related activities Review product designs to ensure they meet project specifications and are incompliance with industry regulations Design test fixtures and layout for required unit test Address NCR and take proactive actions Working within PLM to develop share and manage design data Documentation of engineering data Authorities None Supervisory Responsibility This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops computers photocopiers and smartphones Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus This would require the ability to lift files open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary Qualifications Education Experience and Skills BE in Mechanical Engineering Minimum 4 years of professional work experience is required Specific industry experience is strongly preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Detailed and well-organized Skilled in time management prioritizing and managing changing priorities in fast-paced setting Experience in rotating equipment centrifugal pumps is preferred CAD tool knowledge is essential SolidWorks and Inventor are preferred Understanding of form fit and function GD T and manufacturing processes are required Drawing dimensioning and applying GD T is required Good analytical skills and attention to detail are required Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job Duties responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice
