assists projects and services worldwide In collaboration with business line offices project sites customers and suppliers our teams have successfully delivered over 125 projects Bechtel India provides Engineering Procurement and Construction services to Bechtel s global projects across the Energy Infrastructure Mining and Metals and Manufacturing Technology sectors Bechtel India Private Limited a wholly owned subsidiary of Bechtel has offices in Gurugram Vadodara and Chennai Louisiana LNG LALNG is a Liquefied Natural Gas LNG production and export facility the Facility on the west bank of the Calcasieu River near Carlyss Calcasieu Parish Louisiana The Facility will include five 5 liquefaction plants capable of producing up to max 27 million tonnes per annum MTPA of LNG for export The project will also include three 3 full containment LNG tanks and three 3 jetties that will assist LNG carriers Bechtel India s Construction function is inviting applications from construction professionals with Mechanical Field Engineering and construction management experience for the position of Supplier Quality Field Engineer Mechanical role on LA LNG project supported from our Vadodara office Job Summary The Supplier Quality Field Engineer Mechanical is responsible for providing technical reviews and quality assurance and quality control verification of the mechanical scope for all vendor and subcontractor supplied equipment packages This includes the vendor subcontractor shop fabrication inspection installation and testing of all materials and equipment The role position is based in Vadodara office and may require extended periods of international business travel Major Responsibilities Review material requisitions and purchase orders and provide constructability input in the design fabrication and delivery of equipment packages Establish a quality surveillance program to assure all fabrications testing and documentation are compliant with relevant standards Work under the Procurement team and conduct shop visits to ensure vendors understand and in compliance with project drawings and specifications Conduct shop inspections identify non-compliant fabrication assembly installation Assist Supplier Quality team in developing technical reports of shop inspection punch list and coordinate with Engineering Supplier SQ and facilitate closure of NCRs prior to dispatch of equipment Ensure correct and complete documentation is provided by the vendors Work with Construction team Project Controls Procurement s expediting team to ensure the delivery of vendor equipment and materials to assist the project schedule Establishes and maintains the requirements and tracking system for the execution of preventative maintenance program Coordinate inspection and receipt of equipment Education and Experience Requirements A recognized degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university specialized courses in construction management Minimum 10-15 years of EPC experience or 20 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree Required Knowledge and Skills Demonstrated solid lead mechanical field engineering experience on a major capital projects in Oil Gas industry 7 years Strong experience in construction and technical inspection in areas of installation and testing of LNG plant equipment especially compressors gas turbines condensers and static equipment like pressure vessels drums is preferred Must be familiar with ASME and API code and other relevant industry codes and standards Auditing and QA qualifications preferred Working knowledge of P IDs Mechanical GAs and piping isometric drawings Prior experience and knowledge of Bechtel organization and Field Engineering roles is preferred Proficient in MS
