Location Navi Mumbai MH IN Areas of Work Research Technology Job Id 14350 External Job Purpose Development and modification of polymers for Decorative and Industrial Paint applications Work involves synthesis and characterization of various polymers like Alkyds Acrylics Polyesters Polyurethanes etc in line with latest technological trends such as water borne high solids and based on renewable materials Business Responsibility Areas 1 Designing of synthetic resins for surface coating applications 2 Processing and testing of the experimental designs as per test protocol defined 3 Characterization of developed polymers and their preliminary evaluation in paint prototype 4 Testing of benchmark samples 5 Evaluation of alternate RMs in the existing product formulation for suitability 6 Support to plant wrt standardization of the product at PEL OPC 7 Maintaining appropriate and updated records of experiments in lab note book Optiva 8 Co-ordination with Paint development laboratory Key Performance Indicators Completion of all the activities assigned within stipulated time lines and maintaining explicit records of activities in the lab register as well as Optiva Reproducibility of the work done Qualifications B Tech M Tech oil polymer Paint Technology MSc Organic Chemistry Previous Experience 1-3 years Functional Competencies Should be conversant with synthetic polymer raw materials formulation aspects resin processing aspect testing of resin physical properties as well as cured paint
