Job Title CNC Programmer Department Production Engineering Reporting To Production Manager Engineering Head Job Summary The CNC Programmer is responsible for developing optimizing and maintaining CNC programs to ensure accurate productive and cost-effective machining operations while meeting quality and delivery requirements Key ResponsibilitiesProgramming Process Planning Create edit and optimize CNC programs for VMC HMC and CNC Lathe machines Prepare programs using CAM software and manual programming G-code M-code Select appropriate cutting tools fixtures and machining strategies Develop process sheets setup sheets and tool lists Production Support Support shop floor during program prove-out and first-off approval Troubleshoot machining issues related to programs tools or methods Reduce cycle time and improve productivity through program optimization Coordinate with supervisors and operators for smooth production flow Quality Documentation Ensure programs meet drawing specifications and GD T requirements Implement quality standards ISO IATF in programming practices Maintain program version control and documentation Support internal and customer audits Continuous Improvement Participate in Kaizen cost-reduction and efficiency improvement activities Implement best machining practices to reduce rejection and tool wear Standardize programs and machining methods Required Skills Knowledge Strong knowledge of CNC programming G-codes M-codes Hands-on experience with CAM software Mastercam NX Fusion 360 SolidCAM Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD T Knowledge of cutting tools inserts fixtures and materials Familiar with measuring instruments and CMM basics Understanding of ISO IATF quality systems Qualifications Diploma BE BTech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Experience 5-7 years of experience as a CNC Programmer in a machine shop Key Performance Indicators KPIs Cycle time reduction First-time-right programs Rejection and rework reduction Tool life improvement On-time program delivery Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 35 000 00 - 40 000 00 per month Benefits Food provided Health insurance Leave encashment Provident Fund Work Location In person
