Cost Manager (Budgeting, Cost Monitoring & Billing) - 10+ Years - Mumbai

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Cost Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of residential and commercial real estate projects, including discounted cash flow modelling, budget preparation, billing, and cost monitoring.

Responsibilities -

- Develop and maintain financial models, including discounted cash flow (DCF) models, for project feasibility analysis.
- Prepare and monitor project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and annual business plans.
- Track project costs, revenue, and budget utilization while implementing effective cost control measures.
- Manage billing processes, technical audits, payment approvals, and cost booking activities.
- Review change orders, unbilled quantities, material reconciliation, and project insurance requirements.
- Collaborate with project, engineering, finance, and cross-functional teams to integrate cost and schedule information.
- Utilize ERP/SAP/INFOR systems for cost tracking, financial reporting, project structuring, and dashboard preparation.
- Prepare management reports, business presentations, and financial insights to support strategic decision-making.




- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal audits, governance standards, and company policies.
- Monitor project performance through plan vs. actual analysis, budget tracking, and cost-to-complete assessments.
- Requirements -

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- MBA/Postgraduate degree in Finance, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in project finance, cost control, budgeting, or commercial functions within residential and commercial real estate projects.
- Strong expertise in financial modelling, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and project feasibility analysis.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/SAP/INFOR systems and financial reporting tools.
- Solid understanding of billing, auditing, cost monitoring, project controls, and financial compliance.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple functions and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
