Job Title Data Engineer - Azure Synapse Experience 6-8 years Minimum 5 years of relevant experience Location Bangalore Hyderabad Work Mode Hybrid Work Timing 2 PM - 11 PM Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong expertise in Azure Synapse and the broader Azure data ecosystem The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data warehouses in Azure environments You will play a key role in transforming data into actionable insights by working closely with business stakeholders and data analysts Key Responsibilities Design develop and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines using Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory to ingest process and transform large volumes of structured and unstructured data Develop ETL ELT processes for data ingestion transformation and integration across multiple data sources Build and optimize data models tables views and stored procedures using Azure SQL and T-SQL for high performance and scalability Create and maintain dashboards reports and visualizations using Power BI leveraging DAX Power Query and scheduling data refreshes to support business decision-making Manage and optimize data storage using Azure Storage services including Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 Azure Blob Storage and Azure Files Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements troubleshoot issues and ensure data quality and consistency Implement best practices for data security governance and compliance within the Azure data ecosystem Monitor and improve ETL job performance and troubleshoot failures to ensure data availability and reliability Stay current with emerging Azure data services and recommend improvements to existing data engineering processes Required Skills and Qualifications 6-8 years of experience in data engineering with a focus on Microsoft Azure data platforms Solid expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics including data warehousing serverless SQL pools and dedicated SQL pools Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory for orchestration and automation of data workflows Proficient in Power BI including building interactive reports dashboards writing DAX measures and managing scheduled refreshes Experience with Azure Storage technologies such as Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 Azure Blob Storage and Azure Files Advanced skills in T-SQL for data transformation query optimization and database design Experience with big data concepts and handling large datasets efficiently Familiarity with data governance security and compliance best practices in cloud data environments Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work environment Preferred Qualifications Certifications in Azure Data Engineering e g Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate Experience with other Azure services such as Azure Databricks Azure Stream Analytics or Azure Synapse Spark pools Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or PowerShell for automation tasks Skills Data Engineering Azure Synapse Etl Power Bi About Company UST is a global digital transformation solutions provider For more than 20 years UST has worked side by side with the world s best companies to make a real impact through transformation Powered by technology inspired by people and led by purpose UST partners with their clients from design to operation With deep domain expertise and a future-proof philosophy UST embeds innovation and agility into their clients organizations With over 30 000 employees in 30 countries UST builds for boundless impact touching billions of lives in the process
