Role & responsibilities :
To design and develop transmission systems and components (gearbox, gears, shafts, housings) ensuring performance, durability, and cost efficiency.
Preferred candidate profile :
- Design and development of transmission components such as gears, shafts, bearings, synchronizers, and housings.
- Perform design calculations (gear strength, load, fatigue life, durability).
- Create 3D models and drawings using CAD tools (UG NX).
- Apply GD&T; and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Coordinate with CAE, testing, and manufacturing teams for design validation.
- Support prototype development and testing activities.
- Work on design improvements, cost optimization, and value engineering.
- Analyze failures and support root cause analysis (RCA).
