Job Description

We are looking for an experienced professional to undertake legal research, analysis and editorial work relating to Direct Tax, Indirect Tax and Corporate Laws.

Key responsibilities include:

- Analyse judgments pronounced by Tribunals, High Courts and the Supreme Court.
- Prepare and edit accurate case-law headnotes, summaries, catchwords and case digests.
- Identify the issues involved, points of law, findings, final disposition and precedential value of judgments.
- Preserve important legal terminology and accurately reflect the ratio decidendi of each decision.
- Create concise gists and topical highlights of legal documents.
- Review and edit existing headnotes for legal accuracy, clarity, consistency and completeness.
- Author, review and update legal manuals, eBooks and reference material on Tax and Corporate Laws.
- Conduct research into statutory provisions, rules, notifications, circulars and judicial precedents.




- Review submitted material for content, accuracy, relevance and appropriateness.
- Write and edit research articles relating to Direct and Indirect Tax laws.

Required Candidate Profile

- Preferably 5-15 years of relevant experience in tax practice, legal research, publishing or legal content editing.
- FCA, CA, Semi-qualified CA, LL.B. or LL.M. candidates may apply.
- Robust command over Direct Tax and Indirect Tax laws.
- Expertise in interpreting statutory provisions and judicial decisions.
- Prior experience in preparing or editing case-law headnotes, digests, commentaries or legal manuals will be preferred.
- Excellent legal drafting and English-language editing skills.
- Ability to produce concise, accurate and well-structured legal summaries.
- Strong research, analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
