Role & responsibilities:

Candidate must have experience of design consultancy firm.

The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and documentation of electrical systems in various projects, including hospitals, hotels, residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. The role requires expertise in engineering principles, project management, and a strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.

1. Design and Development:

- Develop detailed electrical designs, including power distribution, lighting systems, communication systems, and control systems.

- Create schematics, single-line diagrams, and layout drawings using CAD, BIM, or similar design software.

- Perform load calculations, short circuit calculations, and voltage drop calculations to ensure system integrity.

- Select appropriate electrical equipment, such as transformers, circuit breakers, generators, and switchgear & preparation of BOQ and Tender

2. Client Interaction:

- Engage with clients to understand project requirements, present design solutions, and provide technical expertise.

- Address client feedback and modify designs as necessary to meet project goals.

- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to clients and other stakeholders.

3. Site Visits and Inspections:





- Conduct site visits to gather data, assess existing electrical systems, and evaluate project feasibility.

- Monitor the installation and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.

- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during construction.

4. Continuous Learning:

- Stay updated with the latest developments in electrical design, technology, and industry standards.

- Participate in professional development activities such as seminars, workshops, and certifications.

Preferred candidate profile:

Technical Skills:

1. Proficiency in electrical design software (CAD, BIM, DIALux, ETAP etc.).

2. Strong understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting and control systems.

3. Familiarity with relevant codes and standards, such as IEC, NEC, IS.

Working conditions:

1. Primarily office-based, with regular site visits for inspections and assessments.

2. Travel may be required depending on project locations.
