About the role

We are a heavy forging unit (two plants Mayapuri & Ballabgarh) building a new indirect procurement team. This role owns purchasing of mechanical, electrical and material-handling spares – the highest-volume desk – and exists to bring real engineering understanding to the buying, not just order placement.

Key responsibilities

- Source and buy mechanical spares (bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, fasteners, drives), electrical & electronic spares (motors, drives/VFDs, switchgear, PLC/automation) and material-handling/crane spares.

- Read drawings and part designations and convert an indent into a complete, unambiguous purchase spec – make, grade, dimension, rating, standard.

- Coordinate with maintenance and electrical engineers to confirm specs before ordering.

- Develop multiple vendors for critical lines, compare rates, track deliveries and close orders on time.





- Maintain a clean, correctly categorised item master; support migration of procurement to Zoho.

Must have

- 4–8 years buying mechanical / electrical spares in a manufacturing / heavy-engineering / auto-ancillary plant.

- Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical (essential) – able to read a drawing and a bearing/hydraulic spec independently.

- Discipline in follow-up and record-keeping.

Positive to have

- Electrical / instrumentation exposure; experience of a high-SKU spares environment.

- Exposure to any ERP (Zoho / SAP / Tally); willingness to adopt Zoho.
