Nursing Officer
Department: Clinical Services Home Healthcare & Elder Care
Location: As Assigned (Delhi NCR / Kolkata / Tripura / Other
Locations)
Reporting To: Clinical Head / Operations Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary
The Nursing Officer is responsible for delivering high-quality
nursing care to clients in home and community settings, ensuring
clinical excellence, patient safety, and adherence to established
care protocols. The role includes direct patient care, caregiver
supervision, clinical assessments, family counselling,
documentation, and coordination with physicians and
multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical Care
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments of patients.
Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
Administer medications and injections as prescribed.
Perform wound dressing and wound care management.
Insert and manage urinary catheters (where clinically
indicated).
Manage feeding tubes, tracheostomy care, and oxygen therapy
as required.
Monitor and record vital signs and clinical parameters.
Recognize early signs of clinical deterioration and escalate
appropriately.
Maintain infection prevention and control standards.
2. Home Healthcare Services
Deliver professional nursing care in patients' homes.
Educate patients and family members regarding disease
management.
Ensure safe medication administration and compliance.
Support rehabilitation and recovery plans.




Maintain continuity of care through regular follow-up.
3. Elder Care Management
Conduct geriatric nursing assessments.
Monitor chronic disease management.
Identify fall risks and implement preventive interventions.
Support dementia and Alzheimer's care protocols.
Coordinate multidisciplinary care for senior citizens.
Promote healthy ageing and preventive healthcare practices.
4. Caregiver Supervision
Guide and mentor caregivers and attendants.

Ensure adherence to care plans.
Conduct on-site quality checks.
Provide clinical training and coaching.
Report performance concerns to Operations.
5. Patient & Family Counselling
Explain treatment plans and nursing procedures.
Educate families on home care techniques.
Address concerns with empathy and professionalism.
Facilitate smooth transitions of care.
6. Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate nursing records.
Update electronic medical records and care documentation.
Prepare clinical reports and progress notes.
Ensure compliance with SilverGenie SOPs and statutory
requirements.
Report adverse events, incidents, and near misses promptly.
7. Emergency Response
Provide immediate nursing intervention during emergencies.
Perform Basic Life Support (BLS) when required.
Coordinate emergency referrals and hospital transfers.
Communicate effectively with physicians and emergency
services.
8. Quality Assurance
Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and infection control
standards.




Support accreditation and compliance activities.

Qualifications
Essential
GNM from a recognized institution.
Valid Nursing Council registration.
Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
Preferred
Certification in Geriatric Nursing, Palliative Care, Critical Care,
or Home Healthcare.
Experience
2 to 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
Experience in home healthcare, hospital, ICU, emergency, or
elder care settings is preferred.
Experience working with geriatric patients and chronic disease
management will be an advantage.

Rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
