Role & responsibilities

- Prepare, compile, and review Technical Data Sheets (TDS) for MEPF materials and equipment (HVAC, fire fighting, electrical, plumbing systems)
- Ensure submittals align with project specifications, approved material/brand list, and BOQ before submission
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain accurate and updated technical documentation
- Liaise with consultants/clients for submittal approvals and resolve technical queries/RFIs
- Maintain and update the submittal log/tracker with real-time status (submitted, under review, approved, rejected)
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (NFPA, ASHRAE, IEC, Civil Defense, DEWA/local authority requirements)
- Track pending approvals and proactively follow up to avoid procurement/execution delays
- Coordinate with Design, Procurement, and Site Execution teams to ensure alignment between submittals and site requirements
- Maintain a master library of approved materials for reference across projects




- Supervise and mentor document controllers/junior engineers involved in TDS preparation
- Report submittal status and bottlenecks to the Engineering Manager/Project Manager regularly

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field
- 6+ years of experience in MEPF technical submittals/documentation, preferably with a contracting or EPC company
- Solid knowledge of MEPF systems, specifications, and international/local codes
- Hands-on experience with submittal management tools
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Office, and document management systems
- Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple submittals under tight deadlines
