The Assistant Sourcing Manager for Dairy/Bread/Eggs/ Fresh Meat & Fish will play a critical role

in expanding fresh produce presence. This role is responsible for building a

robust, high-velocity supply chain that ensures every product aligns with the evolving

needs of our customer base. You will oversee the end-to-end process of supplier

onboarding, negotiation, and relationship management to provide value-driven,

exclusive fresh products.

Key Responsibilities

- Dairy/Bread/Eggs/ Fresh Meat & Fish Category Sourcing & Strategy:
- Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies specifically for

seasonal and year-round

- Identify and onboard new suppliers, including farmers, aggregators, and

Mandi partners, in alignment with company objectives.

- Conduct supplier evaluations to ensure produce quality, freshness, and

reliability.

- Negotiations & Vendor Development:
- Lead and manage negotiations with vendors to drive favorable pricing and

daily delivery schedules.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster

long-term partnerships.

- Continuously assess vendor performance to ensure adherence to quality

standards and freshness benchmarks.

- Inventory & Shrinkage Management:
- Oversee inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while

minimizing excess and spoilage (shrinkage).

- Collaborate with the supply chain team to manage in-stock levels





efficiently and minimize stock-outs.

- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with food safety regulations

for all onboarded vendors.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with the Brand Manager and Product Development teams to

align sourcing with customer demand and seasonal launches.

- Provide input to the product development process to ensure sourcing

capabilities meet specific quality requirements.

- Collaborate with logistics and finance teams to optimize the "farm-to-

warehouse" cost structure.

Key Skills and Qualifications

- Experience: Minimum of 36 years of experience in sourcing or procurement

specifically within the Fruits & Vegetables sector.

- Category Expertise: Proven expertise in supplier onboarding and relationship

management within the Dairy/Bread/Eggs/ Fresh Meat & Fish space.

- Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of the sourcing process, Mandi

operations, and cold-chain supply principles.

- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to

manage diverse vendor bases.

- Problem Solving: Robust analytical abilities to manage multiple priorities and

daily fluctuations in fresh produce supply.

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain Management,
