SCM - Planning

Designation: Executive/ Assistant Manager

Department: SCM

Location: Granules India Corporate.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP;) :

• Support plant-wise demand planning and product segmentation based on business priorities.

• Consolidate and analyze Demand vs. Supply across multiple manufacturing units.

• Track and report ABP (Annual Business Plan) vs Demand vs Supply with variance analysis and actionable insights.

• Monitor plant-wise capacity utilization and identify product-level free capacity.

• Assist in rolling 3-month demand and production forecasts (internal and external).

• Track production occupancy trends and identify potential constraints.

• Coordinate with plant teams on validation and cleaning schedules impacting capacity.

• Ensure timely closure of S&OP; action items through cross-functional coordination.

2. Demand Planning & Supply Coordination :

• Extract, validate, and process demand data from systems.

• Coordinate with plant stakeholders to obtain supply commitments and production timelines.

• Prepare and circulate daily Demand-Supply Commit (DSC) reports.

• Identify demand-supply mismatches and proactively escalate risks impacting customer fulfillment.

• Support closure of short supplies through Sales Order (SO) short-close processes.

3. Sales Planning & Performance Monitoring :

• Download and maintain daily sales register from SAP across all plants. • Track Sales Plan vs Actual (MTD performance) and highlight variances.



• Identify sales gaps and coordinate with plant teams for timely dispatch execution.

• Prepare and submit daily sales performance reports.

• Conduct SmartENT vs Manual Planning analysis to identify discrepancies and improve planning accuracy.

4. Monthly Planning & Execution :

• Develop and monitor plant-wise dispatch plans aligned with customer commitments.

• Plan logistics requirements, including container planning for monthly dispatches.

• Consolidate and report monthly sales forecasts across plants.

• Drive follow-ups for pending sales orders and backlog clearance.

• Monitor and reduce non-moving and slow-moving Finished Goods (FG) inventory.

• Perform month-end sales variance analysis against plan and commitments.

5. Weekly Review & MIS Reporting :

• Prepare and present reports for weekly review meetings, covering:

o Sales & Operations Planning review

o Sales Plan vs Actual (MTD) across all plants

o Sales gaps with justifications and action updates

o Production Plan vs Actual performance

o API, PFI, and FD capacity occupancy (3-month outlook) o Quarterly sales projections

o Finished Goods (FG) inventory status

o Inter-Unit Transfer (IUT) performance

• Support MIS reporting, dashboards, and data consolidation for management review.

6. Excel :

• Excel: Strong at using advanced formulas, pivot tables, and automation.

• Data Analytics: Skilled in analyzing data and turning it into helpful insights.

• ERP Supply Chain: Experienced in working with ERP systems to manage supply chain processes.
