Role & responsibilities

Implementation leadership, code quality, LLD/ADR authoring, feature and story co-creation with PM, refinement facilitation; responsible for input to size the effort to deliver the story / subtask
Key Responsibilities : *ADR (Architecture Decision Record) and ADA (Architecture Design/Decision Authority)
• Lead implementation: code quality, LLD authoring (responsible; Business area Architect accountable), ADR authoring, feature and story co-creation and technical readiness (together with PM), refinement facilitation.
• Responsible for providing the input to size the effort to deliver the story / subtask.
• Author or co-author ADRs with Business area Architect; contribute to HLD; align with Business area Architect on patterns and technical approach.
• Define orchestration and backend requirements during service design; own independent stories for infrastructure and enabler work (do not fold into user-facing stories).
• Validate technical feasibility and implementation approach at Refinement; confirm DoR and estimates with PM.
• Support the Scrum Master in running effective sprint ceremonies by contributing technical facilitation where needed (for example refinement quality, blocker triage, and sequencing decisions)



and deputies for the Scrum Master when unavailable to maintain ceremony continuity.
• Own engineering productivity in the squad: identify and reduce toil, raise workplace and tooling issues early, and propose practical improvements (for example CI flow, test feedback loops, local/staging setup, and developer workflow friction).
• Ensure engineering enablers are visible and planned: convert recurring delivery friction into explicit stories, dependencies, and sequencing changes before they become sprint blockers.
• Set future operational expectations for go-live readiness: ensure telemetry, logging, alerting, and supportability needs are considered during design and implementation, with depth scaled to current pre-production maturity.
• Collaborate strongly with Business area Architect on architecture, design patterns, code quality, and standards; coach engineers on the squad and raise technical risks across departments when shared interfaces or platforms are impacted.
• Participate in ADR review to prepare and progress ADRs for ADA.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
