JOB SUMMARY:

The Patch Management Engineer will execute patch management activities across enterprise endpoints and servers, supporting patch deployment, troubleshooting, compliance tracking, vulnerability remediation, and reporting. The role will work closely with vulnerability management, endpoint security, infrastructure, IAM, and risk teams using Tanium, Automox, Tenable, Rapid7, TruOps, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Okta, CyberArk, and Cyberfusion-related workflows.

OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- Execute scheduled patching activities using Tanium and support legacy/transition workflows from Automox to Tanium.
- Review patch applicability, deployment status, reboot requirements, failed patches, and compliance results.
- Support monthly, emergency, and out-of-band patch cycles.
- Coordinate with server, desktop, endpoint, and application teams for patch deployment and validation.
- Use vulnerability data from Tenable and Rapid7 to support prioritized remediation.
- Track patch tickets, update deployment status, document failures, and follow up on remediation actions.
- Troubleshoot patch installation failures, endpoint communication issues,



reboot pending status, and compliance gaps.
- Support patch exception documentation and risk tracking in TruOps or similar platforms.
- Coordinate with endpoint security platforms such as CrowdStrike and SentinelOne when endpoint health or agent status impacts patching.
- Assist with patch reporting, SLA tracking, patch compliance dashboards, and evidence collection.
- Participate in patch-planning calls and operational reviews during USA hours.
- Escalate high-risk patch failures or critical vulnerabilities to the Patch Management Lead.

Experience:

- 25 years of experience in patch management, endpoint management, infrastructure operations, or cybersecurity operations.
- Hands-on exposure to enterprise patch deployment tools preferred.
- Experience supporting US business hours or global operations preferred.

- Primary Patch Tool: Tanium, Automax
- VM Input Tools: Tenable, Rapid7
- Endpoint Security: CrowdStrike, SentinelOne
- Risk / GRC: TruOps, Cyberfusion
- Identity / PAM: Okta, CyberArk
- Other: ITSM/ticketing tools, Excel, dashboards, reporting platforms
