Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Fund Operations Analyst with proficiency in the Japanese language and experience in fund operations, fund administration, custody, or investment operations. The ideal candidate will support investment operations, oversee fund administration processes, collaborate with third-party service providers, and ensure operational excellence for Japan/APAC markets.

Candidates with experience in Asset Management, Investment Management, Custody Services, or Financial Services will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Support end-to-end fund operations and fund administration activities.
- Monitor fund accounting, custody operations, and operational controls.
- Coordinate with custodians, fund administrators, and third-party service providers.
- Perform reconciliation, exception management, and operational issue resolution.
- Analyze accounting and operational data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Investigate operational breaks, discrepancies, and process exceptions.
- Support investment operations for Japan and APAC markets.
- Prepare operational reports, dashboards,



and management presentations.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and automation initiatives.

Required Skills

Mandatory Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in Japanese Language (JLPT certification preferred N2/N1).
- 3 - 5 years of experience in Fund Operations, Fund Administration, Custody Operations, Investment Operations, or Asset Management Operations.
- Robust understanding of fund administration processes and investment operations.
- Experience analyzing accounting and operational data.
- Experience investigating operational exceptions and resolving issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills

- Experience working with third-party service providers.
- Exposure to Japan or APAC investment operations.
- Experience with T-STAR, XNET, or similar investment operations platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or other reporting and analytics tools.
- Knowledge of investment products, fund accounting, NAV validation, and custody operations.
