Lead Data Engineer Databricks, SQL PySpark

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Data Engineer with a strong software engineering mindset and hands-on expertise in Databricks, SQL, Python, and PySpark . This role is focused on solving complex data problems, advanced analytics, and building scalable data solutions rather than traditional database administration or support activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and optimize complex data solutions using SQL, Python, Spark, and PySpark .
- Analyze, filter, aggregate, and transform large-scale time-series datasets.
- Solve complex analytical and data engineering challenges with a strong focus on performance and scalability.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Clearly articulate technical approaches, design decisions, and solution trade-offs.

Required Skills Experience
- Solid software engineering background with a focus on data-intensive applications.
- Proven experience writing complex SQL queries and working with large datasets.
- Hands-on experience with Python, Spark,



and PySpark for data processing and transformation.
- Strong expertise in advanced data analytics and time-series data analysis .
- Practical commercial experience working with Databricks .
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to explain and justify technical solutions.

Additional Requirements for Lead Role
- Prior experience as a Technical Lead or in a similar leadership position.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and distribute work across team members.
- Experience mentoring and supporting engineers, including senior Data Engineers.
- Strong ownership, stakeholder management, and coordination skills.
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives from design through delivery.
