The Personnel Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of employees, visitors, company assets, and business operations across the organization. The role involves implementing security protocols, conducting security assessments, managing investigations, coordinating with law enforcement agencies, and ensuring compliance with the organization's security policies. The incumbent will also oversee physical security arrangements, emergency preparedness, and security awareness initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Personnel & Physical Security

- Develop and implement personnel security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Ensure effective access control systems for offices, branches, and other company premises.
- Monitor the deployment and performance of security personnel and security service providers.
- Conduct periodic security inspections and vulnerability assessments across all locations.
- Recommend and implement corrective measures to address identified security risks.

Asset Protection

- Ensure the protection of company assets, cash, gold, documents, infrastructure, and critical information.
- Monitor security systems including CCTV, alarm systems, access control, and surveillance equipment.
- Coordinate maintenance and periodic testing of all security equipment.

Incident Management

- Investigate security incidents, thefts, frauds, breaches, and misconduct.
- Prepare detailed investigation reports with recommendations.
- Coordinate with local police, law enforcement agencies, and regulatory authorities whenever required.
- Maintain records of incidents and monitor closure of corrective actions.

Risk Assessment & Compliance

- Conduct security risk assessments for existing and new business locations.
- Ensure compliance with company security policies and statutory requirements.




- Participate in internal and external audits relating to security and safety.
- Support business continuity planning and crisis management initiatives.

Emergency Response

- Develop and implement emergency response procedures for fire, theft, robbery, civil disturbances, and other emergencies.
- Organize mock drills and emergency preparedness exercises.
- Act as the security coordinator during emergency situations.

Vendor & Contract Security Management

- Supervise outsourced security agencies and ensure contractual compliance.
- Evaluate security vendors and recommend improvements in service quality.
- Verify deployment, attendance, and performance of contract security personnel.

Training & Awareness

- Conduct security awareness programs for employees.
- Train branch teams on emergency response procedures and incident reporting.
- Promote a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.

Reporting & Documentation

- Prepare periodic security reports, risk assessments, and MIS.
- Maintain records of security audits, investigations, incidents, and compliance activities.
- Present security updates and recommendations to management.

- Reduction in security incidents and losses.
- Timely closure of investigations and security observations.
- Compliance with security policies and audit requirements.
- Effectiveness of emergency preparedness and response.
