Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack PHP Team Lead to lead a team of developers in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality web applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in PHP and modern front-end technologies, along with proven leadership skills to mentor developers, manage project execution, and ensure timely delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

- Lead and mentor a team of Full Stack PHP developers.
- Provide technical guidance and architectural recommendations for web applications.
- Design scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and provide effective solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement by adopting contemporary development methodologies and technologies.

Development

- Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using PHP frameworks such as:
- Laravel
- Symfony
- CodeIgniter

- Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces using:

- HTML5
- CSS3
- JavaScript (ES6+)
- Bootstrap
- React.js or Next.js (preferred)

- Develop and consume RESTful APIs.
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external services.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
- Participate in troubleshooting production issues and implementing permanent fixes.

Team Management

- Mentor, coach, and support developers in their technical growth.
- Allocate tasks based on project priorities and team capacity.
- Monitor team productivity and ensure timely completion of deliverables.




- Conduct technical interviews and assist in hiring.
- Identify skill gaps and recommend relevant training and development initiatives.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and accountable team culture.

Project Management

- Collaborate with Project Managers, Account Managers, UI/UX Designers, QA Engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in project planning, effort estimation, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify and mitigate risks.
- Ensure timely delivery while maintaining high quality standards.
- Coordinate deployment activities and post-release support.

Quality & Process

- Ensure compliance with coding standards, SDLC processes, and organizational best practices.
- Promote unit testing, code quality, and automated testing practices.
- Maintain technical documentation and reduce technical debt.
- Ensure security best practices and application performance optimization.
- Support CI/CD implementation and continuous process improvement.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Full Stack PHP development.
- At least 2 years of experience in a Team Lead or Technical Lead role, or demonstrated experience leading development teams and mentoring developers.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and delivering scalable web applications.

Preferred Qualifications

- Hands-on experience with Drupal CMS (Drupal 8/9/10), including custom module development, theme customization, site building, and API integrations, will be an added advantage.
- Azure certification.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks.
- Exposure to Headless CMS platforms and modern JavaScript frameworks.
