CAI Business Units and the Markets We Serve

We work with small to enterprise manufacturers across industries such as food and beverage, bottling, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, chemicals, paint, paper, tile, and supply chain logisticssupporting end-to-end operations from sourcing through production and distribution.
CAI India
CAI India is a strategic investment in the companys future. Our Bangalore Center of Excellence is a place of ownership, expertise, and accountability. Teams in India work on global products end to end, contribute to key decisions, and influence how CAI evolves as a business. This is not a support-led model, but rather a center designed to lead through knowledge, responsibility, and trust.
About the Role
Join a tight-knit, development team building new innovations for our Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) platform. You will work directly with senior developers,
diving into a broad set of manufacturing and scheduling challenges. You will collaborate in an apprenticeship style development environment to expedite learning and communication around scheduling concepts and architecture. We will be working with .NET 8+ in a variety of different applications, using Visual Studio 2022 and Git, and expect you to move confidently across our codebase so we can focus on domain-specific logic rather than syntax training. Over your first year youll absorb our architecture, contribute to core initiatives, and eventually mentor newer teammates. All you need is deep .NET experience, a logical mindset, and overlap with U.S. Pacific time for smooth collaboration.
What Youll Doo
• Collaborate in working sessions with senior developers on priority APS/scheduling initiatives across diverse manufacturing concepts and code modules
• Design, implement, and refactor C#/.NET 8+ code for new optimization routines, detailed scheduling enhancements, and current application frameworks that can be reused by other teams
• Participate in sprint planning to scope and estimate development tasks
• Stay organized with work item management and proactively communicate progress and blockers to teammates
• Submit pull requests for your own features and review peers PRs, ensuring code quality and consistency
• Become a product expert by understanding the existing code and how it impacts customer interactions with the product.
• Contribute ideas to existing designs and suggest improvements as you become familiar with the product
• Assist in resolving critical customer issues when they arise (no on-call rotation)
The ideal candidate is an ambitious, seasoned Software Engineer who can work comfortably in a collaborative environment and is confident to get coding quickly.
Strong candidates will excel at achieving goal-oriented initiatives, discussing dev plans and working in large code projects. In general, we're looking for team members who possess an innate ability to set the standard and strive for excellence every minute of the day.
To succeed at CAI candidates should be incredible critical thinkers, relentless problem solvers, and positive people.
