This is a remote position. Architect Java Microservices | AWS | BPM | Integration

Experience - 10 to 15 years

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect with deep expertise in Java-based enterprise application architecture, AWS Cloud, Spring Boot Microservices, BPM (jBPM), Business Rules (Drools), and Enterprise System Integration.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and highly available enterprise solutions while providing architectural leadership throughout the software development lifecycle. This role requires strong hands-on experience in microservices architecture, cloud-native application design, API strategy, workflow orchestration, rule engine implementation, and enterprise integration.

The candidate should be capable of driving end-to-end solution architecture, collaborating with business stakeholders, guiding engineering teams, and ensuring solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end solution architecture and drive key technical decisions across enterprise applications.
- Design scalable, resilient, and cloud-native solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Create High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), architecture diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Define architecture standards, design patterns, and implementation best practices.

- Java Microservices Architecture
- Design and implement enterprise applications using:
- Java 17+
- Spring Boot
- Spring Cloud
- Microservices Architecture
- Define:
- Service decomposition strategies
- API contracts
- Distributed transaction patterns
- Circuit breakers
- Retry mechanisms
- Resilience and fault tolerance patterns
- Design RESTful and gRPC-based services.

- Event-Driven Architecture

- Design asynchronous and event-driven solutions using:
- Kafka (or equivalent messaging platforms)




- Event streaming
- Messaging patterns
- Implement reliable communication between distributed systems.

- AWS Cloud Architecture

- Design and implement cloud-native applications using AWS services:
- Amazon EKS / ECS
- AWS Lambda
- API Gateway
- Amazon RDS
- Amazon S3
- Amazon SQS / SNS
- CloudWatch

- Design secure, scalable, and highly available cloud architectures.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using:

- Terraform
- CloudFormation

- Build and optimize CI/CD deployment pipelines.

- BPM Business Rules

- Design workflow-driven enterprise solutions using:
- jBPM
- BPMN 2.0 process modeling
- Human task management
- Workflow orchestration
- Process versioning
- Process migration

- Drools

- DRL authoring
- Decision tables
- Rule governance
- Rule lifecycle management
- KIE deployment

- Enterprise Integration

- Design integration solutions for enterprise platforms by:
- Defining integration patterns
- Integrating legacy applications
- Third-party API onboarding
- Data transformation and mapping
- Canonical data models
- Error handling and retry mechanisms
- Secure API integrations

- Technical Leadership

- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and design validations.
- Define Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs), including:
- Performance
- Security
- Scalability
- Availability
- Reliability

- Mentor development teams and provide technical guidance.
- Collaborate with client architects, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
