Job Title: Senior Accountant / Accounts Head

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Accounts Head to lead the complete accounting and finance operations of our Honda dealership. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, statutory compliance, internal controls, and smooth day-to-day accounting across all business operations, including the main dealership, service centre, and branch locations.

This is a leadership role requiring solid ownership, team management, and the ability to coordinate with multiple departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise the Accounts Department and ensure smooth functioning of daily accounting operations.
- Manage end-to-end accounting for vehicle sales, service, spare parts, accessories, insurance, and all dealership-related transactions.
- Oversee accounting activities across the main dealership and all branch locations.
- Review and finalize books of accounts, ledgers, journals, and financial records.
- Monitor and reconcile debtors, creditors, customer advances, OEM accounts, and bank accounts.
- Ensure timely vendor payments while maintaining effective cash flow control.
- Monitor daily collections, banking, cash management, and payment approvals.
- Track operating expenses, budgets, and cost controls across departments.
- Supervise inventory accounting for vehicles, spare parts, lubricants, and other inventories.
- Oversee payroll processing, incentives, reimbursements,



and employee-related accounting.
- Ensure accurate GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Income Tax, and other statutory compliances in coordination with consultants.
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, finance companies, and statutory authorities.
- Prepare and review monthly MIS reports, profitability reports, cash flow statements, and financial analysis for management.
- Monitor internal financial controls and continuously improve accounting processes.
- Ensure timely closure of monthly and yearly accounts.
- Work closely with Sales, Service, Parts, HR, and Management to ensure seamless financial operations.
- Identify process improvements and implement systems that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and financial discipline.
- Take complete ownership of the dealership's accounting function and ensure the team delivers accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting (CA Inter/CMA/MBA Finance preferred).
- 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in an automobile dealership or multi-branch business.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, accounting standards, taxation, payroll, and statutory compliance.
- Hands-on experience with Tally Prime, MS Excel, and dealership accounting systems.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple business units and lead an accounting team independently.
- High level of integrity, ownership, and attention to detail.
