ABOUT:
CHICKCOOP FARM PRIVATE LIMITED is an integrated poultry infrastructure and FarmTech company developing up-to-date hatcheries, breeder farms, poultry facilities, automation systems, AI-enabled farm monitoring, franchise projects, and market-access solutions. The Company is establishing a flagship Hatchery & FarmTech Centre in Madhya Pradesh that will serve as a model for future CHICKCOOP® franchise projects across India.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager will lead the end-to-end planning, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning, and handover of CHICKCOOP® hatchery and FarmTech projects. The selected candidate will act as the primary coordination point among the Company, Franchise Partner, consultants, contractors, equipment suppliers, government authorities, and other stakeholders.
The role also includes developing standardized project systems, engineering procedures, reporting formats, vendor networks, quality controls, and implementation templates for future CHICKCOOP® franchise projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Project Planning and Strategy
Project Execution Plan: Prepare a detailed plan defining project scope, responsibilities, resources, deliverables, timelines, and implementation methodology.
Project Scheduling: Develop and maintain schedules covering design, approvals, procurement, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning.
Milestone Management: Establish measurable project milestones and monitor their completion within approved timelines.
Work Breakdown Structure: Divide the project into manageable work packages for effective assignment, execution, monitoring, and control.
Resource Planning: Estimate the manpower, contractors, and financial resources required for each project stage.
Progress Monitoring: Compare actual progress against the approved schedule and initiate corrective measures where delays occur.
Risk Planning: Identify technical, commercial, regulatory, procurement, construction, and operational risks and prepare mitigation plans.
2. Site Identification and Development
Site Evaluation: Assess proposed locations based on accessibility, utilities, logistics, biosecurity, expansion potential, and commercial feasibility.
Survey Coordination: Arrange topographical, contour, and site-condition surveys required for planning and design.
Utility Assessment: Evaluate electricity, water, drainage, telecommunications, road access, and backup utility requirements.
Master Site Planning: Coordinate layouts for buildings, utilities, parking, loading, internal roads, biosecurity zones, and future expansion.
Site Preparation: Supervise clearing, access roads, and preliminary infrastructure development.
Biosecurity Zoning: Ensure appropriate separation of clean areas, operational areas, visitors, vehicles, waste, and potentially contaminated movement.
3. Engineering Coordination
Architectural Design: Coordinate building layouts that support efficient egg, chick, staff, material, and waste movement.
Structural Engineering: Ensure structures are safe, durable, code-compliant, and capable of supporting hatchery equipment.
Civil Engineering: Coordinate foundations, flooring, roads, drainage, utility trenches, water systems, and external development.
Electrical Engineering: Plan equipment loads, power distribution, panels, lighting, earthing, backup power, and electrical safety.
Mechanical Systems: Coordinate machinery interfaces, ventilation, equipment utilities, pumps, generators,
and mechanical services.
HVAC and Ventilation: Ensure proper temperature, pressure, and air-quality control throughout the hatchery.
Plumbing and Water: Coordinate water supply, storage, treatment, sanitation, drainage, and wastewater systems.
Drawing Review: Review architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, utility, and equipment drawings before execution.
Design Coordination: Identify and resolve conflicts among engineering disciplines before they affect construction.
5. Procurement and Vendor Management
Procurement Planning: Prepare procurement schedules aligned with engineering deliverables and construction milestones.
Vendor Identification: Identify capable suppliers, manufacturers, consultants, contractors, and service providers.
Quotation Management: Obtain and compare quotations based on technical specifications, price, warranty, delivery, and support.
Technical Evaluation: Coordinate technical assessment of machinery, equipment, materials, and supplier proposals.
Commercial Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, payment terms, warranties, delivery schedules, installation support, and after-sales service.
Equipment Procurement: Coordinate the purchase of incubators, setters, hatchers, HVAC systems, generators, electrical systems, pumps, sensors, and automation.
Delivery Monitoring: Track manufacturing, dispatch, transportation, unloading, storage, and site delivery.
Vendor Performance: Evaluate vendors based on quality, responsiveness, delivery reliability, commercial compliance, and service support.
Procurement Records: Maintain quotations, technical datasheets, invoices, warranties, and vendor documents.
6. Budget and Cost Control
Budget Preparation: Develop and maintain the project budget across construction, machinery, utilities, professional services, and contingencies.
Invoice Verification: Verify contractor and supplier invoices against completed work, delivered materials, and agreed terms.
Variance Analysis: Identify budget deviations and recommend corrective or cost-optimization measures.
Change-Order Evaluation: Assess the cost and schedule impact of proposed variations before seeking approval.
Cash-Flow Forecasting: Prepare project payment forecasts aligned with procurement, construction, and commissioning milestones.

8. Equipment Installation and Commissioning
Installation Planning: Prepare installation schedules based on equipment delivery and civil, electrical, mechanical, and utility readiness.
Installation Supervision: Monitor the placement and installation of setters, hatchers, ventilation, electrical, monitoring, and supporting systems.
Testing and Calibration: Coordinate mechanical, electrical, safety, functional, and performance testing of installed equipment.
FarmSence.ai Integration: Coordinate the installation of sensors, CCTV, IoT devices, dashboards, and approved digital monitoring systems.
Commissioning: Coordinate final commissioning and verify that the facility is ready for commercial operation.
9. Quality,
Biosecurity and Operational Readiness
Quality Assurance Plan: Establish project-specific inspection procedures, acceptance criteria, documentation, and corrective-action systems.
Biosecurity Infrastructure: Ensure the facility supports sanitation, access control, disinfection, controlled movement, and disease prevention.
Non-Conformance Control: Identify defective or non-compliant work and ensure rectification before approval or payment.
Staff Coordination: Support the recruitment and technical preparation of the hatchery operations team.
Final Handover: Transfer the completed facility with all documents, manuals, warranties, certificates, and outstanding-item records.
10. Documentation, Reporting and Standardization
Daily Reporting: Record site manpower, work completed, materials received, issues, delays, and immediate requirements.
Weekly Reporting: Present progress against schedule, procurement status, risks, costs, decisions required, and upcoming activities.
Monthly Reporting: Provide management with consolidated progress, budget status, forecast completion, and major project concerns.
Meeting Minutes: Record decisions, responsibilities, deadlines, and follow-up actions from all project meetings.
Handover Records: Compile as-built drawings, test reports, warranties, equipment manuals, certificates, and commissioning documents.
Project Standardization: Convert project experience into reusable CHICKCOOP® procedures, templates, drawings, BOQs, checklists, and reporting systems.
Vendor Network Development: Establish a reliable network of approved consultants, contractors, manufacturers, and suppliers for future projects.
Continuous Improvement: Document lessons learned and recommend improvements in engineering, construction, automation, procurement, and project delivery.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Agricultural, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
PMP, PRINCE2, or an equivalent project-management qualification will be an advantage.
Working knowledge of MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, BOQ preparation, budgeting, and project documentation.
Experience
Five to ten years of experience managing industrial, agricultural, poultry, dairy, food-processing, warehouse, cold-storage, factory, or EPC projects.
Demonstrated experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultants, contractors, vendors, and government authorities.
Experience in hatchery, poultry, feed mill, food-processing, or controlled-environment infrastructure will be strongly preferred.
