Government Business Development Manager – North India

About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Government Business Development skilled to own and grow our presence across the entire North India region (Delhi NCR, Punjab, Haryana, UP, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, HP, J&K;).
This is a high-ownership role for someone who understands how government works — from tendering and empanelment to building long-term relationships with key decision-makers across ministries, PSUs, and state departments.
What You'll Do
Own end-to-end delivery of government projects across North India.
Act as the primary liaison between government departments/PSUs and internal execution teams
Track and manage tenders, RFPs, and project bids on GeM, CPPP, and state procurement portals
Handle approvals, permissions, and compliance required at various stages of project execution
Coordinate with government officials, department heads, and procurement committees to ensure smooth project progress and resolve on-ground bottlenecks
Manage project timelines, documentation, and reporting in line with government contract terms
Drive empanelment and vendor registration with relevant government bodies
Work closely with internal teams (delivery, finance, legal)



to ensure projects are executed on scope, time, and budget
Monitor payment cycles, milestone billing, and government fund releases
Provide market intelligence on upcoming government projects, budget allocations, and policy/regulatory changes relevant to ongoing and future work
Build and manage relationships with local consultants/channel partners where needed for on-ground execution
What We're Looking For
8+ years of experience in government project execution, liaisoning, or institutional project management
Strong existing network within North India's government ecosystem (state secretariats, PSUs, ministries, district-level offices)
Hands-on experience with GeM, CPPP, and e-tendering/e-procurement platforms
Solid understanding of government processes — approvals, compliance, billing, and documentation
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across different states/departments
Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Self-starter who can work independently and travel extensively across the region
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant certification preferred
