Purpose/Objective

The QA/ QC Senior Team Member manages quality assurance and control activities for assigned plants, ensures compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards, and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities of Role

QA& QC Senior Team Member-PETCHEM Operational Management: Ensure quality control and assurance within assigned plants by managing all QA QC functions as per departmental manuals and SOPs.
Achieve effective execution of QA QC activities by coordinating and guiding team members within assigned plants/projects.
Quality Assurance and Compliance: Meet project milestones by qualifying vendors and sub-vendors through comprehensive assessment processes.
Ensure documentation accuracy by reviewing and approving inspection test plans (ITPs) and procedures, maintaining quality assurance and control standards for the assigned unit.
Ensure compliance with standards by conducting final and stage-wise inspections of static and rotary equipment.
Maintain high-quality control by adhering to departmental manuals and SOPs.
Vendor Management and Documentation: Ensure accurate billing by reviewing and certifying Third-Party Inspection Agency (TPIA) invoices.
Complete inspections per plan by overseeing stage-wise and final inspections through TPIAs, reviewing test reports, Inspection Reports (IR), and Inspection Release Notes (IRN).
Facilitate material dispatch by assisting the QA Lead in issuing Material Dispatch Clearance Certificates (MDCC) after satisfactory inspections, ensuring records are properly maintained.
Financial and Resource Management: Contribute to budget preparation by assisting in the QA QC department budget planning.




Lead standardization activities assigned within the role scope to ensure consistency.
Risk Management: Assist in managing inspection and non-conformance activities to mitigate risks effectively.
Internal and External Coordination: Resolve quality-related issues by collaborating with EPCM/EPC/vendors/MPL engineering disciplines.
Provide updates and insights by preparing and reviewing monthly MIS reports.
Ensure compliance and improvement by conducting audits for internal and external stakeholders as required.
Team Management: Mentor and guide QA QC Team Members working within the assigned plant or unit, providing technical support and direction to enhance their capabilities.
Identify and address training needs and development opportunities for team members to promote skill enhancement and effective communication.

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering ASNT Level II in RT, UT, MPT, DPT, VT Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor: ISO 9001:2015 Work Experience (Range of years): Minimum 12 + years of experience in PMC, EPCM, owner companies, or TPIA Solid background in inspection and expediting of mechanical items/equipment.
Experience in preparation and review of ITP and all types of NDT procedures.
