Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ETL / Big Data Test Engineer with strong expertise in data validation, ETL testing, and automation. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end testing across complex data pipelines, ensuring data integrity, quality, and seamless integration across multiple systems. The ideal candidate should have a mix of functional testing, automation, SQL expertise, and stakeholder management, with exposure to contemporary tools and technologies in the data and cloud ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
? ETL & Data Testing
Perform end-to-end ETL testing across data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency
Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes for complex data workflows
Conduct data reconciliation and cross-system validation
? Test Design & Execution
Analyse business requirements and convert them into test scenarios and test cases
Design risk-based, comprehensive test strategies aligned with acceptance criteria
Lead functional, integration, and regression testing cycles
Ensure optimal test coverage across releases




? Automation & Tools
Develop and maintain ETL automation frameworks using Python, PySpark, and Pandas
Build reusable data validation scripts and utilities
Contribute to automation strategy to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
? SQL & Data Validation
Perform complex SQL queries for backend validation and data analysis
Validate:
Data transformations
Aggregations
Joins
Business rules
Conduct deep defect analysis for data-related issues
? BI & Reporting Validation
Perform BI report testing to validate dashboards, reports, and KPIs
Ensure data consistency between source systems and reporting layers
? Integration & API Testing
Validate data flow across integrated systems
Perform API testing using tools like Postman (preferred)
? Defect Management
Own complete defect lifecycle management:
Identification
Logging
Prioritization
Tracking
Closure
Collaborate with dev/integration teams to resolve issues
? Test Tracking & Reporting
Track and report test progress, coverage, and quality metrics
Provide clear status updates including:
Risks
Dependencies
Blockers
? Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with:
Developers
Business Analysts
Product Owners
Business users
Ensure alignment on quality goals and delivery timelines
