This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Service Specialist – Coatings Solutions based in India.

You will work closely with customers across a variety of industries, providing technical guidance, supporting product implementation, and driving continuous process improvements. Accountabilities:

- Provide expert technical support for coatings products, application processes, and customer manufacturing operations.
- Partner with customers to improve product performance, coating quality, operational efficiency, and overall production outcomes.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues related to product performance, color matching, coating application, and manufacturing processes.
- Support the implementation, validation, and commercialization of new coating products and technologies through product trials and customer approvals.
- Analyze customer production processes, identify optimization opportunities, and implement best practices to improve quality, consistency, and productivity.
- Develop and deliver technical training programs for customers, distributors, production teams, and other stakeholders to strengthen technical capabilities.
- Conduct technical audits, process reviews, and compliance assessments to ensure adherence to recommended application standards.
- Build trusted relationships with customers while coordinating projects across technical, commercial, operations, supply chain, and product development teams.
- Monitor project milestones, technical performance, application data,



and quality metrics while preparing reports and recommending improvement initiatives.
- Support data-driven decision-making by analyzing process performance and providing actionable technical recommendations.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Paint Technology, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.
- 3–8 years of experience in technical service, coatings applications, manufacturing, product development, or other technical-commercial roles.
- Experience within coatings, paints, automotive OEM, commercial vehicles, automotive refinish, industrial manufacturing, agricultural equipment, construction equipment, rail transportation, or related industries is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of coating technologies, paint formulations, application methods, and manufacturing or coating line operations.
- Experience supporting product launches, customer trials, process optimization, and technical problem-solving in customer-facing environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot coating application, color, appearance, and process-related issues while delivering practical technical solutions.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities with a customer-focused mindset.
- Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively within cross-functional and multicultural teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with CRM systems is considered an advantage.
- Willingness to travel extensively based on business requirements.
