Job Description

Job Purpose:
The Material Master SME is responsible for the governance, quality, and lifecycle management of Material Master and related manufacturing master data across SAP environments. The role serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Material Master, Bill of Materials (BOM), Routings, Engineering Change Management (ECN/ECM), and associated product data processes.

The position works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Finance, and IT teams to ensure accurate, controlled, and compliant master data that supports operational efficiency and business growth.

Duties:

- Product & Manufacturing Master Data Leadership
- Act as the enterprise SME for Material Master, BOM, Routing, Production Versions, Work Centers, Engineering Change Management (ECM), and related manufacturing master data processes.
- Own and govern the end-to-end lifecycle of Product Master Data from recent product introduction (NPI) through engineering changes, production, service, and end-of-life management.
- Define enterprise-wide standards, controls,



governance policies, and best practices for Material Master and manufacturing-related master data.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex master data, engineering, and manufacturing issues impacting global operations.
