Technical / Subject Knowledge

The candidate should have experience on some of the following listed areas:

- Field Instrumentation, selection and sizing of flow meters and control valves
- Control and Switch Valves
- Online Gas and Liquid Analyzers, Gas Chromatographs, handling Analyser Data Management Systems and interface with control system, analyzer shelter & Safeguarding concept and sample handling systems
- Control Systems, Shutdown Systems and Fire and Gas Monitoring systems
- Knowledge of developing Detailed Functional Block Diagram, Logic Diagram
- I&C; of package units with their own control and safety system and interface with main plant ICSS
- I&C; Construction Engineering
- Active participation during Factory Acceptance Test, Site Supervision, Loop Check, Commissioning Assistance
- In-Depth knowledge of International Codes & Standards
- Good knowledge of SI (InTools/Smart Plant Instrumentation) or COMOS, Functional Safety Life Cycle management acc. to IEC61508/61511, Alarm Management System acc. to IEC 62682/ISA 18.2
- Carrying out SIL verification and in depth understanding of various Safety Life Cycle Phases of SIS acc. to IEC 61511
- Good knowledge on relevant suppliers in the Indian and international market

- MS Office, SI / COMOS, instrument sizing software

Key Role & Responsibility

- Analyze the contract and examine the relevant scope of work and interfaces
- Prepare I&C; concepts and philosophy with value engineering input




- Development of cost effective, quality and HSE related concepts and solutions
- Prepare, review, and approve the engineering documents and drawings, inquiry and purchase order specifications for various I&C; equipment, Review various construction engineering drawings / documents
- Interprets and applies codes & standards and customer design requirements
- Review and respond to technical queries raised by Client / PMC / Customer/ Other disciplines / Site Teams
- Sizing and selection of field instruments, control valves in cost effective manner
- Coordination with other engineering disciplines and effective handling of interfaces with internal and external stake holders
- Participate in P&ID; review, 3D models review and other project review meetings
- Reviews of other discipline documents like P&IDs;, E&I; Interface, equipment data sheets and equipment engineering drawings, plot plan etc.
- Conduct technical meetings with the Vendors/Suppliers
- Technical offer evaluation and preparation of Technical Bid Analysis
- Perform vendor drawing and document review including review of inspection and test reports
- Participate in final inspection & test of I&C; equipment
- Assign and co-ordinate task of team members assigned within the group
- Regular monitoring of quality, HSE, schedule, quantity and cost aspects
- Capture lessons and conducts lesson learnt workshop within department
