To evaluate and underwrite retail home loan and mortgage proposals while ensuring adherence to the organization's credit policy, regulatory guidelines, and risk management framework. The role focuses on maintaining portfolio quality, delivering quick credit decisions, and supporting business growth through prudent credit assessment.
Key Responsibilities 1. Credit Underwriting
- Evaluate Home Loan, Loan Against Property (LAP), Balance Transfer, and Construction Finance proposals.
- Analyze customer financials, income, banking, repayment capacity, and credit history.
- Assess eligibility based on internal credit policies and regulatory norms.
- Approve or recommend loan proposals as per delegated authority.
2. Risk Assessment
- Conduct comprehensive risk analysis to maintain high-quality loan portfolios.
- Review CIBIL reports, financial statements, bank statements, ITRs, and other supporting documents.
- Identify potential credit risks and recommend suitable mitigation measures.
- Monitor portfolio quality and delinquency trends.
3. Legal & Technical Coordination
- Coordinate with Legal, Technical, and Valuation agencies for property verification.
- Review legal and technical reports before sanctioning loans.
- Ensure all property-related risks are adequately addressed.
4. Process & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with ABHFL credit policies, RBI/NHB guidelines, and internal SOPs.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation in the Loan Origination System (LOS).
- Ensure timely completion of post-disbursement documentation.
- Support internal and external audits with minimal observations.
5. Business Support
- Partner with Sales, Operations, and Credit Processing teams for timely loan processing.
- Maintain defined Turnaround Time (TAT) for credit decisions.
- Provide credit guidance to sourcing teams while balancing risk and business growth.
6. Portfolio Monitoring
- Monitor overdue accounts and early delinquency cases.
- Support Collections team in resolving high-risk or delinquent accounts.
- Report suspected fraud or policy deviations to senior management.
