Job Description: Student Care and Supervision:

- Student Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times, including during class, breaks, meals, and extracurricular activities.

- Personal Assistance: Assist students with basic personal care needs, including hygiene, dressing, and mobility support when necessary.

- Health Monitoring: Monitor the physical health of students, including administering medication as required, and responding to medical or health emergencies.

- Supervision: Oversee students during lunch, recess, and other free periods, ensuring their behavior is appropriate and they remain safe.

- Behavior Management: Support teachers in maintaining discipline and managing students’ behavior, using positive reinforcement and conflict resolution strategies when needed.

- Special Needs Support: Provide tailored care and attention to students with special needs or disabilities, assisting them with daily activities and learning tasks.

Emotional and Social Support:

- Emotional Well-being: Provide emotional support to students, offering a listening ear and helping them manage stress, anxiety, or peer-related issues.

- Conflict Resolution: Help mediate conflicts between students and promote positive social interactions, fostering a sense of community and teamwork.

- Positive Reinforcement: Encourage students in their academic and personal growth, using praise and positive reinforcement to boost their confidence and self-esteem.

Daily Routine and Administrative Duties:

- Routine Checks: Assist with monitoring and documenting students' daily routines, including attendance, behavior, and any special needs or concerns.

- Meal Assistance: Supervise students during meal times, ensuring they are eating properly, promoting healthy habits,



and assisting with any necessary tasks.

- Transport Supervision: Supervise students during school transportation, ensuring their safety when boarding and exiting school buses, and assisting with escorting students to and from buses.

- Parent Communication: Maintain transparent communication with parents or guardians, reporting any issues or concerns regarding students' behavior, health, or emotional well-being.

General Support and Assistance:

- Classroom Support: Assist teachers with classroom management and activities as needed, helping students stay on task and providing additional support to those who need it.

- Extracurricular Activities: Assist students during school events, field trips, or extracurricular activities, ensuring they are well-supervised and safe.

- Crisis Management: Respond to emergencies or crises, such as medical incidents, emotional distress, or behavioral issues, by following established procedures and seeking appropriate help.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in childcare, special education, or nursing is a plus.

- Experience: Previous experience working with children, in a school setting, or in a caregiving role is preferred.

- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with students, teachers, and parents.

- Patience and Empathy: Ability to work calmly with students, showing understanding and patience in various situations.

- Physical Stamina: Ability to assist with students' physical needs, including helping with mobility, providing support during physical activities, and maintaining vigilance throughout the day.

- First Aid Certification: Basic first aid and CPR certification is preferred, or the willingness to obtain it.
