Job Description:
A Wind Mechanical Project Site Engineer JD (Job Description) involves overseeing the installation, erection, and commissioning of wind turbine mechanical components, managing site civil works (roads, foundations), ensuring safety & quality (QA/QC), handling contractors, coordinating schedules, and resolving technical issues for wind farm projects, requiring a Mechanical/Civil engineering degree and strong site management skills for productive, on-budget project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Site Supervision: Lead daily site activities, coordinate teams (foremen, supervisors), and manage contractor performance for mechanical erection and balance of plant (BoP) works.

- Technical Oversight: Ensure mechanical installations (nacelle, blades, tower sections, heavy lifts, assembly) meet design specs, quality, and torqueing standards.

- Civil Works Management: Oversee turbine foundations, access roads, hardstands, crane paths, and drainage, ensuring compliance.

- Quality & Safety: Implement and enforce strict QA/QC procedures,



safety protocols, and environmental compliance.

- Project Coordination: Manage schedules, report progress, track materials, and liaise with project managers and other stakeholders.

- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues related to turbine mechanics and site infrastructure.

Qualifications & Skills

- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.

- Experience: 3-7+ years in wind energy project execution (mechanical/civil).

- Technical Skills: Wind turbine mechanics, heavy lifting, structural stability, basic electricals, reading drawings, industry software.

- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, project management, problem-solving, attention to detail, adaptability for site work.
