Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineering Manager who will play a pivotal role in leading our backend engineering efforts. This is an individual contributor role where you will combine hands-on coding with technical leadership to drive the development of robust backend systems.

Responsibilities:

Design, architect, and develop scalable backend services using Java, Python, Node.js, and SQL.

Lead and mentor a talented team of backend engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative environment.

Collaborate closely with product managers and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Conduct code reviews, ensure code quality, and enforce best practices.

Drive initiatives to optimize performance, scalability,



and reliability of backend systems.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

8+ years of hands-on experience in backend development with expertise in Java, Python, Node.js, and SQL.

Proven track record of leading and managing a team of engineers in an agile environment.

Robust understanding of software architecture principles, microservices, and API design.

Experience in fintech or product-based companies is strongly preferred.

Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
