Job Description:

Position: Project Engineer

Department: Projects / Engineering
Location: Ahmedabad
1. Role Summary
The Project Engineer will be responsible for execution and coordination of mechanical projects including equipment installation, piping
works, vendor coordination, technical review, and ensuring timely project completion as per client requirements and company standards.
The candidate should have practical knowledge of industrial projects such as process plants, Evaporator MEE, ATFD, MVR systems,
piping, insulation, structural works, and equipment installation.

2. Key Responsibilities
Project Execution
 Coordinate with design, procurement, and site teams for smooth project execution.
 Review GA drawings, fabrication drawings, P&ID;, and vendor documents.
 Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to schedule.
 Ensure compliance with technical specifications and project requirements.

Technical Activities
 Review mechanical drawings such as:
o Equipment GA drawings
o Piping layout drawings
o Foundation drawings
o Isometric drawings

 Perform basic engineering calculations such as:
o Line sizing
o Insulation thickness calculation
o Flow calculations




o Utility consumption calculations

 Verify technical documents received from vendors.
Vendor & Client Coordination
 Coordinate with vendors for technical clarification and document submission.
 Follow up with vendors for drawing approval, dispatch status, and technical compliance.
 Attend technical meetings with clients and consultants.
 Resolve technical queries raised by clients.

Procurement Support
 Prepare technical data sheets for inquiry such as:
o Heat exchangers
o Pumps
o Scrubber column internals
o Motors
o Insulation material

 Review vendor offers and provide technical comparison.
 Support purchase team for technical evaluation.

Site & Installation Support
 Provide technical support during equipment installation.
 Ensure installation as per approved drawings.
 Resolve site technical issues.

 Coordinate inspection activities.

Documentation
 Maintain project documentation and records.
 Track drawing approvals and revisions.
 Prepare project progress reports.
 Ensure proper document control.
