Job Description:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to oversee and coordinate the planning and scheduling of construction site projects. The role involves preparing baseline schedules, monitoring progress, identifying delays, and recommending corrective actions. The Planning Engineer will work closely with the site team, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage baseline project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project for infrastructure projects.
- Track project progress against the plan and report deviations and delays with root cause analysis.
- Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and S-curves.
- Interface with site execution, procurement, design, and subcontracting teams to ensure schedule adherence.
- Assist in resource planning, manpower deployment, and equipment utilization tracking.




- Evaluate contractor performance against milestones and recommend corrective measures.
- Support the project team in cost and schedule integration (Earned Value Management).
- Assist in preparation of Extension of Time (EOT) claims, delay analysis, and contractual correspondence.
- Ensure documentation of all planning and scheduling activities for audits and client reporting.
- Attend site meetings and coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal departments.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
- 3–8 years of experience in planning and scheduling of large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with CPM, WBS, Critical Path Analysis, EVM, and delay analysis techniques.
- Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
