Role Description The VFX Editor role at Midas VFX is a full time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The VFX Editor will manage and organize editorial timelines for visual effects shots, ensuring accurate versioning, shot tracking, and integration of VFX into the offline and online edit.
Day-to-day responsibilities include ingesting and conforming footage, updating edit sequences with new VFX deliveries, reviewing shot continuity and quality, and preparing reference materials and edit exports for clients and internal teams.



The role involves close collaboration with VFX supervisors, compositors, producers, and coordinators to maintain editorial consistency across film, episodic, and commercial projects.

The VFX Editor will also assist with technical troubleshooting related to formats, codecs, and delivery specifications, and help maintain an efficient editorial workflow.

Strong proficiency with Davinci Resolve and Nukestudio/Heiro software and workflows for visual effects pipelines, with the ability to manage timelines, versions, and shot databases effectively.
Solid understanding of Compositing and Lighting principles to evaluate VFX shots for continuity, integration, and overall visual quality.
Experience working in a VFX, post-production, or film/episodic editorial environment, preferably in high-end or boutique studios.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with creative, technical, and production stakeholders.

A relevant qualification in film editing, VFX, animation, or a related field, or equivalent skilled experience.
