The festival provides a platform for young people in Chennai to participate in events, workshops, and activities that promote leadership, collaboration, and social responsibility. Volunteers play a key role in planning, organizing, and running festival activities, gaining practical experience and exposure to event management. Role Description Student Volunteers in Chennai will support the planning and smooth execution of festival events and activities. Day-to-day tasks may include coordinating with participants, assisting with registrations, managing information desks, and helping with event logistics such as setup, crowd guidance, and material distribution. Volunteers may also support online communication, basic documentation, and outreach activities from home as needed. This is a volunteer role with a hybrid work arrangement,



requiring in office presence in Chennai for key events and meetings, while allowing some tasks to be completed remotely. Volunteers will collaborate with the organizing team, follow safety and participation guidelines, and represent the festival in a skilled and welcoming manner.
Qualifications
Interest in youth events, festivals, or community initiatives, with a willingness to learn and take on responsibilities.
Good communication skills in English and/or local languages, with the ability to interact respectfully with diverse participants.
Basic organizational and time management skills, including the ability to follow instructions and meet agreed timelines.
Comfort with using phones, messaging apps, and basic online tools for coordination and remote tasks.
Positive attitude, reliability, and readiness to work collaboratively in a team and in a public-facing environment.
Availability in Chennai during the festival period and for key planning meetings; prior volunteer or event experience is an added advantage.
