Role & responsibilities
Prepare the operating theatre and ensure all necessary surgical instruments, consumables, and equipment are sterilized and ready.
Scrub, gown, and glove according to aseptic technique before surgeries.
Assist surgeons by anticipating needs, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field throughout the procedure.
Handle surgical specimens and ensure proper documentation and lab dispatch.
Monitor and manage surgical instruments before, during, and after procedures to ensure no items are missing.
Adhere to strict infection prevention and control protocols.
Assist in preparing the patient pre-operatively and ensuring secure transfer post-operatively.
Coordinate with the CTVS surgical team, anesthetists,



and other healthcare specialists for smooth workflow.
Participate in surgical equipment maintenance and reporting of malfunctioning devices.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures, supplies used, and any incidents.

Preferred candidate profile
Education : - Diploma / B.Sc. in Nursing from a recognized institution.
Valid Nursing Council Registration (State or Indian Nursing Council)
Experience:- Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience as a scrub nurse, preferably in CTVS OT .
