Job Description Mechanical Engineer (Project Incharge)
Role Summary
Mechanical Engineer (Project Incharge) responsible for overseeing all mechanical engineering activities across ongoing projects and facility operations, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Eligibility Criteria
Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Experience: (preferably in pharma / industrial projects)
Technical Skill: Proficiency in AutoCAD
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all mechanical-related work across group projects and facilities.
Possess solid knowledge of HVAC systems, water systems, cleanroom facilities, and pharma production machinery.
Handle utilities including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, nitrogen (N) plants, and wastewater systems.
Ensure compliance with cGMP, ISO, and FDA regulations, including proper documentation and record-keeping.
Supervise ongoing project work and coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, and vendors.
Ensure all work is executed as per approved drawings and meets required quality standards.
Maintain and update all technical drawings and documents as per project changes.
Coordinate with Civil and Electrical teams for seamless project execution.
Review and validate measurement sheets, bills, and invoices against actual work completed.
Prepare and maintain all required records and documentation.
Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance activities for all mechanical systems within the facility and premises.
Follow instructions from senior management and provide regular updates and reporting.
Guide and supervise junior team members, ensuring effective task execution.
Adhere to company policies, rules, and regulations at all times.
Coordinate with the Safety Officer to ensure protected working practices.
Work with the liaisoning team to maintain regulatory compliance related to mechanical functions.
Key Skills & Competencies
Solid technical expertise in mechanical systems and utilities
Knowledge of pharmaceutical compliance standards (cGMP, ISO, FDA)
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Project management and coordination skills
Attention to detail in documentation and quality control
Team leadership and communication skills
