Role & responsibilities
Supervise maintenance staff by determining workloads, develops, interprets and implements procedure, evaluate staff and ensures that staff are trained in complex maintenance activities and are following standard operating policies to ensure rate of availability i.e. machine uptime is more than 96%.
Engaging all the maintenance staff for stipulated time period and evaluate and measure their performances.
Implementing the Preventive Maintenance for all Equipment.
Implementation of electrical/mechanical LOTO to ensure the 100 % safety from Electrical/ mechanical Hazard and also ensure that all the major work should have work permit.
Ensures that safety training is provided to staff and that proper safety practices are followed.
Advise management on whether continued operation of the equipment could be hazardous
Interacts professionally with staff, maintains effective working relationships and works in cooperation with the management team to effectively meet departmental / organisational objectives
Communication and effective interaction with co-workers, managers, subordinates and the cross functional department to exchange or convey information and to give and receive work direction.




Techniques for effectively dealing with a variety of individual from various socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds in person.
Ensure up time of all plant and machinery
Operate and maintain utilities so as to achieve rated parameters and efficiencies
Lead maintenance teams to handle break down maintenance
Manage and optimize spares and consumables to reduce operating costs
Ensure to up keeping of all electrical and instrumentation facilities of the plant
To co-ordinate with production dept. to do maintenance with least interruption of plant.
To adhere to OFSS, ISO audits
To ensure power factor is always above 0.9 and MD is never exceeded
To ensure average units generated/ltr is above 3.1 in all DG sets

Preferred candidate profile
Minimum of 4 to 5 years in a medium size company (with turnover of around Rs 300 Cr).
Must have exposure to union, and handled a team of minimum size of 10 workers and 4 supervisors.
Must have exposure to packaging machines in food industries, utilities like DG sets, transformers, air compressors and basic instrumentation etc.
Must have positive exposure to HACCP, GMP and PM, 5S, condition monitoring etc
