Mathematics Teacher (Grades 8–10)

Job Summary

The Mathematics Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned mathematics lessons for students in Grades 8–10. The role focuses on developing students' mathematical knowledge, logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills while fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning setting that promotes academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver effective mathematics lessons aligned with the prescribed curriculum.
Teach mathematical concepts using a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, assignments, and assessments.
Assess, evaluate, and monitor student progress through quizzes, tests, projects, assignments, and examinations.
Provide timely feedback and academic support to help students achieve learning objectives.
Encourage logical reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving through interactive learning activities.
Integrate educational technology and digital learning tools into classroom instruction.




Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning workplace.
Identify and support students requiring additional academic assistance or enrichment.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and progress.
Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, career development programs, and school events.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, grades, and student performance.
Contribute to curriculum planning, review, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support mathematics clubs, competitions, enrichment programs, and other co-curricular activities.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred or required, depending on school policy).
Valid teaching license/certification where required by applicable regulations.

Experience
Minimum of 2–5 years of teaching experience in Mathematics at the middle or secondary school level (preferred).
Experience teaching students in Grades 8–10 is an advantage.
