Role & responsibilities

Machine Setup & Operation
Configure and prepare CNC machines (e.g., mills, lathes, grinders, routers) before starting production runs.
Load raw materials safely onto the machine beds or bar feeders.
Install and secure required tools, blocks, collets, and attachments.
Input code or load pre-written G-code programs into the machine control panel.
Run test pieces to verify program instructions and tool paths before bulk manufacturing.

Quality Control
Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to find required dimensions.
Inspect parts during and after production runs to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Use measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and verniers to check precision.




Adjust machine offsets and parameters to fix dimensions when deviations happen.

Maintenance & Safety
Perform daily maintenance including cleaning chips, checking oil levels, and refilling coolant.
Change worn tool inserts and report major hardware or tooling issues to the supervisor.
Maintain safety standards by wearing PPE, utilizing machine guards, and keeping a tidy workspace.
Log machine data including production counts, scrap rates, and equipment checks.
