Key Responsibilities

Database Administration
Robust hands-on experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL, or equivalent relational databases.
Experience in database installation, configuration, backup, restore, and recovery.
Robust understanding of High Availability (HA), Replication, and Disaster Recovery (DR).
Monitor database health, availability, and performance to ensure high uptime.

Required Skills
Strong SQL programming skills.
Experience with:

Views
Triggers
Joins
CTEs
Window Functions
Dynamic SQL
Solid knowledge of relational database concepts.
Experience in query optimization and performance tuning.
Hands-on experience with indexing strategies and execution plan analysis.
Understanding of transactions, locking, blocking, and concurrency.
Knowledge of normalization and database design principles.




Experience monitoring database performance and identifying bottlenecks.

Preferred Skills
Experience with AWS RDS, Aurora, or other cloud-managed database platforms.
Knowledge of Redis or other caching technologies.
Experience with ETL tools and data migration.
Exposure to reporting and analytics solutions.
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or similar.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell for database automation.
Experience in database capacity planning and infrastructure optimization.
Understanding of containerized database environments (Docker/Kubernetes).
Experience supporting enterprise-scale, high-availability production systems.
