Roles and responsibilities
Conduct offensive security assessments across 2G, 3G, 4G/LTE and 5G networks.
Perform penetration testing across RAN, Core, IMS, OSS/BSS and network-management environments.
Assess telecom protocols including SS7, Diameter, GTP and SIP.
Test BTS/eNodeB/gNodeB, HLR/HSS/MME, EPC and 5G Core components.
Evaluate VoLTE, VoWiFi, voicemail, IVR, SMS and related telecom services.
Test CPE, smartphones, SIM/eSIM, routers and IoT devices.
Identify and demonstrate vulnerabilities through controlled exploitation.
Perform network reconnaissance, packet analysis, protocol testing and security-control validation.
Develop scripts and proof-of-concept exploits using Python, Bash or similar technologies.
Document findings, attack scenarios, business impact and remediation recommendations.
Present results to clients, engineering teams and security stakeholders.
Retest vulnerabilities after remediation and verify closure.
Track emerging telecom threats,



vulnerabilities and offensive techniques.

Required skills
Strong hands-on penetration-testing or red-team experience.
Practical exposure to telecom operator, OEM or telecom consulting environments.
Robust knowledge of telecom architecture across RAN, Core, IMS and signaling.
Experience testing SS7, Diameter, GTP and SIP.
Familiarity with Wireshark, Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, Kali Linux and similar tools.
Experience with Python or other security-automation scripting.
Robust reporting, client communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Significant requirement

Candidates with only network operations, firewall administration, SOC, SIEM or vulnerability-scanning experience will not be considered. The position requires direct, hands-on offensive security testing within telecom environments.
