Design Engineer Under Body Structure (BIW)

We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in Automotive BIW Under Body Structure Design.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop Under Body Structure components including Front End Structure, Front Floor, Rear Floor, Front Crash Member and Rear Crash Member.
Create concept layouts, alternate concepts, master sections and detailed 3D models.
Generate 2D drawings, 3D annotations and assembly drawings using CATIA V5/V6.
Perform manufacturing, packaging, assembly and performance feasibility studies.
Create and manage Spot Welds, BOM and engineering data using Teamcenter, ENOVIA and PLM.
Apply GD&T;, DFM, DFA and DFS principles during product development.
Support digital packaging and simulation activities.
Prepare technical documentation and presentations.




Participate in design reviews and coordinate with cross-functional teams, customers and onsite teams.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and timely project delivery.

Required Skills:
3–5 years of experience in Automotive BIW Under Body Structure Design.
Robust hands-on experience in CATIA V5/V6.
Experience with Teamcenter, ENOVIA, PLM and 3DEXPERIENCE.
Knowledge of Spot Weld creation, GD&T;, DFM, DFA and DFS.
Experience in 3D Modeling, 2D Drafting, BOM Creation and Data Management.
Positive understanding of Automotive Product Development, Manufacturing and Packaging.
Robust communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Qualification:
BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Automotive or Production Engineering.
M.Tech/MS is an added advantage.
