Role & responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Market Establishment
Define and execute overall sales strategy across target markets and regions.
Build brand and product presence, positioning products competitively against established players.
Identify and prioritize recent markets, geographies, and channels for expansion.
Distribution & Channel Management
Build, manage, and expand distributor and channel network.
Manage relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retail partners to ensure consistent product availability and visibility.
Team Building & Leadership
Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team across regions.
Set targets, KPIs, and incentive structures to drive team and channel performance.
Revenue & Target Ownership
Own overall sales revenue and volume growth targets.
Monitor sales performance, market share, and competitive positioning on an ongoing basis.




Report sales performance and strategy regularly to promoters and management.
Market Intelligence
Track competitor activity, pricing, and market trends.
Provide demand forecasting input to production and procurement functions.

Preferred candidate profile

Must-Haves
Proven track record building sales strategy and establishing market presence, ideally within cigarette/tobacco or closely comparable regulated FMCG.
Experience building and leading distribution networks and sales teams from the ground up or through a growth phase.
Robust understanding of trade and distributor economics within a regulated product category.

Preferred Background
Prior VP Sales / Sales Head experience at a tobacco or FMCG company.
Existing distributor and trade relationships in target markets.
