Key Responsibilities:
Cluster Management:
Deploy, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters on-premises.
Monitor cluster health, performance, and resource utilization.
Perform upgrades and patching of Kubernetes components and underlying infrastructure.
Security & Compliance:
Implement RBAC, network policies, and secrets management.
Ensure compliance with internal and external security standards.
Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments.
Automation & CI/CD Integration:
Develop and maintain Helm charts, Kustomize configurations, and GitOps workflows.
Integrate Kubernetes with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or ArgoCD.
Troubleshooting & Support:
Diagnose and resolve issues related to pods, nodes, networking, and storage.
Provide support to developers and other teams using the Kubernetes platform.
Documentation & Training:
Maintain detailed documentation of cluster configurations, policies, and procedures.
Train internal teams on Kubernetes usage and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) mandatory
3+ years of experience managing Kubernetes clusters, preferably on-premises.
Robust understanding of containerization (Docker), networking, and Linux systems.
Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana), logging (ELK, Fluentd), and service meshes (Istio, Linkerd).
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.).
Preferred Skills:
Experience with storage solutions like Ceph, NFS, or CSI drivers.
Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
Exposure to hybrid cloud environments (e.g., integrating on-prem with AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Robust communication and collaboration skills.
