Role & responsibilities
Record and reconcile sales across marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, etc.) and own D2C channels (Shopify / website) against settlement reports.
Reconcile payment gateways (Razorpay, PayU, PayTM, etc.), COD remittances, and courier / logistics settlements.
Account for marketplace commission, fees, shipping charges, promotional discounts, returns (RTO/RTV) and refunds.
Handle GST compliance including TCS under GST (Sec 52) reconcile TCS credit (GSTR-8 GSTR-2B) and support GSTR-1 / 3B filing.
Track and reconcile TDS u/s 194-O deducted by operators; deduct/deposit TDS on vendor payments and support return filing.
Maintain inventory / COGS records and vendor ledgers; process payments.
Perform bank reconciliation and month-end closing; prepare MIS / P&L;.
Coordinate with marketplaces and internal teams to resolve settlement discrepancies.
Maintain books in Tally and/or Zoho Books.
Manage multiple D2C client accounts in parallel and meet each client's monthly reporting deadlines.
Preferred candidate profile
B.Com or equivalent.
2–5 years of accounting experience, including hands-on e-commerce / marketplace accounting.
Working knowledge of Tally (ERP 9 / Prime) and Zoho Books.
Advanced Excel — VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, data cleaning; comfortable with large settlement files.
Sound understanding of GST (incl. TCS u/s 52), TDS (incl. 194-O) and reconciliation.
Solid attention to detail, ownership, and ability to meet closing deadlines.
